About RCI
What does RCI HVAC & Construction Services do?+
Full-service heating, cooling, indoor air quality, duct work, and commercial HVAC for homes and businesses across Oklahoma, plus new-construction installs for builders. Everything from a filter change to a full system replacement. We service all brands, run our own sheet metal shop, and handle commercial equipment up to 200-ton air handlers.
Do you do both residential and commercial work?+
Yes. Homeowners use us for reliable comfort and honest recommendations. Businesses count on us for repairs, preventive maintenance, custom airflow work, and kitchen ventilation that keeps operations running.
What makes RCI different?+
We take pride in the work no matter the job size, and we're built on relationships rather than transactions. Family-run, 27 years of experience, fast and friendly service, fair prices, and two things most shops our size don't have: an in-house sheet metal shop and real commercial-kitchen experience.
Do you offer same-day service?+
In most cases, yes. Availability depends on season and call volume, but urgent comfort and operational problems go to the front of the line.
Do you service all brands?+
Yes, residential and commercial. Working across so many systems means we diagnose faster and recommend based on performance and long-term reliability, not on what we happen to sell.
What areas do you serve?+
The Oklahoma City metro (Oklahoma City, Moore, Norman, Edmond, Yukon, Mustang, Blanchard), the Lawton area (Lawton, Cache, Duncan, Elgin, Geronimo), and Tulsa. Not sure if you're in range? Call and ask.
Heating and cooling equipment
What heating systems do you work on?+
Furnaces, heat pumps, and the other common residential and commercial heating systems. Diagnostics, repairs, seasonal maintenance, and replacement when it's the better call.
What air conditioning systems do you service?+
Central air conditioners, heat pump cooling, ductless mini-splits, and commercial cooling systems. Repair, replacement, and maintenance built for Oklahoma summers.
Can you help with ductless systems?+
Yes. Ductless is a great fit for additions, garages, older homes, and rooms that never get comfortable. We'll size the space, recommend a configuration, and install or repair it.
What's the benefit of your sheet metal shop?+
We fabricate custom ductwork and airflow parts in-house, so fit, quality, and performance are under our control. That's a real advantage in commercial buildings and in homes with uneven temperatures or restricted airflow.
Do you specialize in commercial kitchens?+
Yes. Kitchens carry higher heat loads, demanding airflow, and real urgency when something fails. We've completed multiple school projects and maintain several restaurants and commercial buildings in the OKC metro.
Do you offer indoor air quality solutions?+
Yes: whole-home humidifiers and UV lights, depending on the need. Oklahoma homes deal with dry winter air and sealed-up summers, so humidity and air treatment can improve comfort beyond temperature alone.
Is a humidifier really necessary?+
Not for every home, but many benefit in the cold months. Dry skin, irritated sinuses, static, and a house that feels cold even at a steady thermostat setting are the usual signs.
Maintenance, repair, and replacement
How often should I schedule maintenance?+
Twice a year for most homes: once before summer cooling and once before winter heating. Commercial buildings usually need a schedule based on usage, equipment size, and hours of operation.
What does a seasonal tune-up prevent?+
It catches airflow restrictions, performance decline, and component wear before they turn into bigger repairs, improves efficiency, and lowers the odds of an emergency call in extreme weather.
Why is my energy bill rising when my usage hasn't changed?+
Usually lost efficiency: a dirty filter, airflow problems, duct leaks, aging components, or equipment that's simply past its best. An evaluation tells you whether a repair, a maintenance fix, or an upgrade is the smartest move.
How do I know if my system needs repair?+
Weak airflow, uneven temperatures, unusual noises, frequent cycling, and longer run times. If the system struggles to hit the thermostat setting, it's time for an inspection.
When should I replace instead of repair?+
When repairs are getting frequent, comfort keeps declining, or efficiency has dropped enough to drive up long-term costs. We'll compare repair versus replacement honestly so you can decide for your property and budget.
Can duct problems cause hot or cold rooms?+
Yes. Layout, leaks, restrictions, and poor balancing create uneven comfort even when the equipment is fine. Airflow matters as much as the unit, so we often recommend a duct evaluation when comfort points that way.
When something breaks
What should I do if my AC stops working in summer?+
Check the thermostat, replace a visibly dirty filter, and make sure the breaker hasn't tripped. If it still isn't cooling, call. Oklahoma heat pushes systems to the limit, and a fast repair prevents further damage.
What should I do if my furnace stops working in winter?+
Check thermostat settings, confirm the filter is clean, and make sure the system has power. Short cycling, odd noises, or inconsistent heat mean it's time for an inspection before a cold snap turns it into a full breakdown.
How quickly can you respond to an emergency?+
We aim for same-day service in most cases and prioritize urgent comfort and operational issues. Availability depends on season and call volume, but the goal is always fast, clear communication.
